A TASTE OF SOME OF OUR BEST WORK:

Bolstering Lowcountry Legacy

PR · Social Media · Influencer Marketing · Event Strategy

One of Charleston’s premier restaurant groups, Queen Street Hospitality Group (QSHG), looked to CBPR to take over their social media and manage their influencer marketing and PR efforts for their restaurants and private event service- 82 Queen, 82 Queen Events and Jalisco.

We drew on our unparalleled influencer connections to partner with 91 micro-influencers in our first year of work, securing coverage for their restaurants in a series of Instagram videos, posts, giveaways and stories - all of which resulted in 2.7 million impressions, 63 posts and 252 stories. In that same first year, CBPR grew the restaurants’ Instagram and Facebook pages by a combined 10k followers, which the team paired with 181 local, regional and national press hits focusing on the restaurant’s events, food/cocktails, meeting space and chefs, securing stories in the likes of Thrillist, Lonely Planet and AJC.

In the two years since then, Queen Street Hospitality Group has seen hit after hit in the likes of Food & Wine, Cosmo, Fodors, Food Network, South Mag, PureWow and Inside Hook, and celebrated milestones like their 40th anniversary, which they commemorated with a College of Charleston scholarship, and the launch of their new event service- all of which CBPR helped shine a spotlight on.

Fundraising During a Pandemic

PR · Social Media · Event Strategy

At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Charleston non-profit Warrior Surf Foundation struggled to fundraise for their life-altering 12-week surf therapy, yoga and wellness program for Veterans.

Through a strategic PR campaign, CBPR secured features in Southern Living, CNN and even Jimmy Buffett’s personal social media handles. We also assisted with event ideation and paid and organic social media efforts.

Over the course of our partnership, our efforts have resulted in more than 33 million impressions. More importantly, WSF raised over $53,000 at their last Surfboard Auction, a $38,000 difference from the event prior to CBPR’s involvement.

WSF also recently raised over $310,000 at their last Charity Golf Classic at Wild Dunes, outpacing records and expectations by $125,000, due in large part to CBPR’s strategic print and digital media campaign, community relations and sponsorship outreach.

From Vine to Viral

PR · Influencer Marketing · Social Media · Brand Partnerships

Hubbard Peanut Company (lovingly known as Hubs), makers of the world’s first specialty peanuts since 1954, tapped CBPR to help bring their product into the 21st century with a strategic marketing campaign that balances nostalgia with their brand’s future.

Through dynamic brand partnerships with some of the South’s leading culinary products like Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit, Caroline’s Cakes and Big Spoon Roasters, influencer campaigns with a host of big names, and a robust social media campaign focusing on stories and reels, Hub’s first year with CBPR was its strongest year of sales in history.

Social success has garnered Hubs hundreds of new social followers, and continued PR efforts have resulted in 237.5 million media impressions, with regional coverage in Garden & Gun, Taste of the South, The Local Palate, Southern Living and StyleBlueprint and national hits in Cuisine Noir, Food Network and Eater National.

Dining with a Purpose

TastemakersCHS

Our founder, Charlotte, started Charleston’s only culinary social media club, TastemakersCHS, in 2016. The club aims to connect restaurants, nonprofits and influencers under one umbrella.

Using the power of social media to go beyond just the typical pizza and cheeseburger posts, TastemakersCHS aims to dig deeper to use our combined following to give back to a city we all love so much.

Fast-forward to 2022, and the group has grown to 55 members, with a combined following of over 700,000 on Instagram alone. To date, the group has hosted over 75 events in the city and helped raise over $65,000 for over 25 local nonprofits, with missions ranging from helping to feed the homeless and ending human trafficking to bettering education for children with special needs and providing fresh produce to underprivileged neighborhoods.

Every client who signs on with CBPR gets immediate access to the TastemakersCHS community for an event, which provides an impactful boost to their social media following and a collection of high-resolution images and videos to add to their database.
